The Legend of Zelda / Re: Redeads!
« on: April 17, 2006, 09:19:03 PM »
nope i thing graphics got lots to do with the game the better graphics the more you will enjoy the game
of course there are other many factors that can decide this, such as history or if it is a RPG, FPS, of whaterver but i;ll go for for with the graphics as the most important

So you enjoy CG demo animations without interactivity more than a RPG with good story of the SNES era such as [Mephistopheles, please add some examples.. XD] or old classics such as Super Mario Bros. 3 that have good gameplay?

PS: I bet you don't. Gameplay is the most important factor in a game.

The main point of speed-runs are, action. An RPG also doesn't have much action on-screen so it would be boring to look at.

Uhh... You know, there are some flaws with your poll. Ports shouldn't count as separate titles.

* Link fixes poll.

EDIT: There you go... maybe later I'll add separately the 3 CD-i games.

Well, seems Microsoft is deciding to release this new version soon, since some people are stating that they are already giving out invitations as soon as they register for the BETA. So this topic is now closed.

Nintendo recently stated today that you will be able to create custom stages in SSBR!! This can be then shared easily by transferring it to your computer and sending the file to whoever you choose to. Stages can be played online only if one player has them!

Also, it was announced today that Nintendo has a contract with Capcom and Konami, related to Smash Brothers. What can we expect with this deal?, NEW CHARACTERS!, NEW STAGES!

In fact it's as old as Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

But yeah, you don't need it if you already own Wireless Router that works perfectly.

So your telling us, that somehow you got a Nintendo DS of the future back in the end of 2004? (I'm stating this because I know you own MPH:FH)

I bet your real Firmware is v2.

PS: Did the test with Perseus's DS and he has the first one.

Online and possible launch title. There's not a lot of information currently, but during E3, I guess we'll probably even see it in action.

Actually, the Nintendo USB WFC Adaptor doesn't function as a Wireless Router. Only DS can connect through it. (Probably Revs will also connect too)

NDS/DSlite/DSi / Identify your DS's Firmware
« on: March 24, 2006, 09:09:15 PM »
Every system has it's BIOS which sometimes needs to be upgraded completely, but most of the time, just a Firmware update of the BIOS is needed. The Nintendo DS has different firmwares, although all of them may seem the same for the user. A DS doesn't need to be updated, so this new firmware updates are just very small updates that will go unnoticed. If you want to know your firmware version, you can use this procedure (by MaHe from GBADEV Forum) to find it out:

  • 1. Insert a DS or GBA game in its slot.
  • 2. Turn on your DS and open Pictochat, room A.
  • 3. Now remove the game (don't worry, this doesn't harm the game).
  • 4. Both screens should turn the same color:
  • FW1: DS will freeze, when you remove the cart
  • FW2: Grayish Blue
  • FW3: Dark Green
  • FW4: Yellow
  • FW5: Magenta
  • FW6: Blue
  • iQue FW: Dark Green
  • DSLite FW: Purple
  • FlashME (all versions): Dark Green

My DS has the first firmware. I did the test with a GBA game.

jajaja, i just cant wait to buy it, im anxious, mmmmm i have a doubt, does it have multiplayer mode?

The other trademark of this game is the multiplayer cooperative story mode between 2 to 4 players!

The multiplayer mode can be either Cooperative or Competitive, point based of course, and in cooperative you share the same health bar, so do not play with anyone!  :-\
