It would be rather weird to remake a single player RPG for SNES and add it cooperative, it's definitely single player....

... although..... no, I don't think it is......

Anyway, I've used a weird type of "cooperative" in "Tales of" games, however, it's very weird and not probable for GBA.... the thing i that with a special item and configuration you can let a second player handle one of your characters, which, is rather stupid, I've used it on Tales of Destiny, completely useless, as party power doesn't changes, you can control all characters by yourself.

Well, it seems reasonable that letting another player control a character of your party is not much effective [perhaps, maybe if battling made easier this way and the second player could help you out during battles (or elsewhere in the game..), our opinions would be different... :P]

And that has cleared my doubt:
does anybody know if this game can be played in a cooperative mode?
Thanks, Mephistopheles 8), and thanks to you, too, Lord*Yakov :P, for the information.

Aye Ayeeee reviving this topic hahahah

this game is GREATTTTTTT hahaha
The story is pretty good and I like a lot the idea of traveling past, present, and future.  I like a lot Arche (the witch) her spells are definitely the best offense, I specially liked meteor, extinction, and indignation :).
Strooooooooongly recommended its pretty good for being a SNES title, graphics are excellent eventhough it belongs to SNES.  Also, this game is the second longest and heaviest (4.2 MB) game from ALL the SNES titles (the longest and heaviest is Star Ocean (8.1 MB)).
Very easy to obtain in english from any rom site ;)

Mhe, extinction failed a lot IIRC... Indignation was the strongest, Arche is definitely the strongest although Klarth can deal more to one enemy using Maxwell, anyway, you only have 5 to choose to make a party of 4, so no trouble deciding the party.

Great game.

I might think it's better than Tales of Symphonia for GCN...

PS: Is it? :P

Depends... you know, they are quite similar, Tales of Symphonia is in 3-D, which is nice and all, although the battle area is very cool in Tales of Phantasia, because it's really short and you can get attacked by both sides, and your wizards get killed XD... so the gameplay very similar, but I don't know Tales of Symphonias' story so I wouldn't say which one's better, play both and be happy.
