Online gaming on revolution
« on: March 11, 2006, 06:30:02 PM »
I have a question about the Wi-Fi connection, if the revolution would run Gamecube games, can it run them online?. It would be fun to play Phantasy Star Online in a Wi-fi connection and not paying for a modem or broadband adapter

There are very little possibilities but, the Wireless Technology of Revolution may emulate a Broadband Adaptor from Gamecube, but won't use NWFC Service.

For REV?? lol, I wished I had even the list of games for it. Lot's of the games have tentative titles. You can count in a lot of EA games, since they can't live without adding an online mode to their games. Super Smash Brothers for REV will be online. A game called Orb, will also have some online features. Mario Kart for REV will surely also be compatible with NWFC.

Who has a list? Nintendo.

The problem is, getting a list of games not created for a console not yet on sale, sounds like a short to none list.

As we know, since Revolution will have online play, a good amount of games should implement it.

Sadly, Square has currently announced only FF:CC for Rev, which is NWFC compatible.

A Pok?mon game is already been made for NDS which will be compatible with NWFC. I'm sure there'll be a PKMN game for Rev, which can possibly be a  MMORPG.
